What you may write about
General writing is welcome. Contributions do not need to be about Moira, astrology, or astronomical computing. Every contribution must still meet the editorial, rights, privacy, and safety rules below.
Questions, tutorials, field notes, research, essays, lived experience, and respectful criticism are welcome when honestly framed. Clearly distinguish evidence, interpretation, opinion, and speculation.
Ownership and Moira’s publishing license
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Moira a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for display and accessibility, publish, display, distribute, and promote that content inside Moira, and to make the limited technical copies needed to operate, secure, back up, and improve the service.
This license does not transfer ownership and does not permit Moira to sell your article as a standalone work. It continues for copies already shared or reasonably retained in backups, audit records, legal holds, and public posts preserved under anonymized attribution, subject to applicable law and a valid removal request.
Private chart data receives only the service-delivery license described in the Terms of Service; it is not licensed for public promotion.
Your promises and responsibilities
You represent that you created the content or have all rights, permissions, and lawful authority needed to submit it; that required attribution is accurate; and that publication will not violate another person’s privacy, publicity, contractual, intellectual-property, or other rights.
You are responsible for your claims. Do not present astrology, AI output, or personal experience as medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Professionals must comply with the rules, disclosures, and scope limits that govern their work.
Prohibited content and conduct
- Illegal, infringing, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually exploitative content.
- Doxxing, private birth information, credentials, financial data, or other personal information shared without authority.
- Malware, harmful code, phishing, spam, undisclosed paid promotion, manipulation of engagement, or impersonation.
- Instructions that facilitate serious harm, professional claims that misrepresent qualifications, or health claims likely to delay appropriate care.
- Fabricated sources, plagiarism, materially deceptive editing, or AI-generated material presented as independently verified evidence.
Attribution, moderation, and editorial decisions
Credit sources, quotations, images, data, and collaborators accurately. Disclose material conflicts, sponsorships, and substantial AI assistance when relevant to a reader’s evaluation of the work.
Moira may review, label, format, decline, restrict, unpublish, preserve, or remove content; limit features; or suspend an account to enforce these terms, protect people or the service, comply with law, or maintain editorial quality. We may request corrections and are not obligated to publish any submission.
Removal, account deletion, and preservation
You may request removal of content you own. Account deletion does not automatically erase every public contribution: posts and comments may remain under “Deleted user” unless removed separately. Reviews or practitioner material may be anonymized. Moira may retain minimized copies where reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, abuse prevention, backups, or audit integrity.
Reports and appeals
Use the in-product Report control when available or email hello@moira-astro.com with the URL, the concern, and enough context to review it. Copyright complaints follow the separate Copyright & DMCA process. Affected authors may reply with relevant context; Moira retains final editorial control, subject to applicable law.
