Harmonic chart explorer
Calculate a harmonic chart by multiplying each natal longitude by a selected factor, then wrapping it around the zodiac. Explore integer and decimal factors, age harmonics, and a spectrum of conjunction patterns from the same birth chart.
Six ways to look closerChoose a question. Keep the same source.
Inspect one factor, then compare its projected positions with your natal chart.
Your first calculation also prepares the natal source.
A different view of the same chart
Prepare a natal source or arrive from your natal chart. Choose the points and factor, then calculate the projected wheel and conjunction evidence.
Patterns, brought into view.
In an integer harmonic chart, aspects belonging to that division of the circle become conjunctions. H3 brings trine relationships together; H4 brings quarter-circle relationships together. Moira shows the projection and its conjunction evidence so you can inspect the underlying geometry.
Modern Western harmonic practice includes conventional integer charts and experimental decimal projections. It is distinct from Vedic divisional charts, whose construction and interpretive traditions require their own methods.
Read Astrodienst's introduction to harmonics →What does the spectrum score mean?
It measures conjunction-cluster density for your selected points and orb. It is not a measure of talent, worth or predictive certainty. Related patterns may recur at multiples of a harmonic; the rows are not statistically independent.
Can I use asteroids and other points?
Yes. Prepare up to 64 supported points, including available asteroids, comets, fixed stars, lots and Uranian points. The source chart reports missing coverage. When arriving from natal, the explorer preserves the longitudes of the chart you were viewing.
Why are there no houses or retrograde symbols?
This instrument projects natal longitudes rather than calculating a new physical sky. It does not assign harmonic houses, planetary speed, retrograde motion or dignity. Selected natal angles appear as projected points.
How are age harmonics calculated?
The engine uses elapsed age in tropical years as a decimal factor, with its effective-factor floor shown in the receipt. It transforms birth positions; it does not calculate transits at the target date. Ages outside the supported pattern-analysis range can still return projected positions.
