What this page answers
Transits are the aspects the moving planets make to the positions in a birth chart. This calculator shows when each transit comes into orb, every exact pass (including retrograde returns) and when it leaves, for up to three years ahead. The calculation, including the minor aspects, is free; Moira Enhanced adds Urania's full personalised reading of a transit.
Method, limits & sources
- Method
- The birth chart is cast from the entered date, time and place. The planets' daily positions over the chosen span are compared with each natal planet, the lunar node and, when the birth time is known, the Ascendant and Midheaven; exact moments are refined to the minute from NASA JPL ephemeris positions.
- Important limit
- Transit meanings are astrological conventions, not scientifically established effects or guarantees about events. Orbs are a convention too; a different orb moves the dates a transit enters and leaves. Without a birth time the angles are left out.
- Provenance
- The page separates the calculated timing from interpretation and links the result back to Moira's chart and validation context.
